About Literary Faerie Consulting

Nonprofits want to improve communities and make the world a better place. Often, executive directors get bogged down with the financial aspects of their business or nonprofit and struggle to find time to serve all their clients while growing the organization.

We want to help you help others by providing the essential services you need to be successful: bookkeeping, grant coaching, and professional writing, customized to your nonprofit.

About Me

Rebecca Kent, Founder

I started writing grant proposals and writing for nonprofits about ten years ago. Since then, I've gained professional experience in small-scale marketing,, campaign office management, university bookkeeping, payroll, and nonprofit fundraising. I further studied bookkeeping, payroll, and grant writing to enhance my professional experience. I am now a certified bookkeeper, a certified Notary Signing Agent, and a bonded Notary Public in Alabama, as well as an experienced writer. I bring all this together to help nonprofits meet their goals to better the world.

Sustainability and Social Justice

At Literary Faerie Consulting, we wish to lessen our impact on the Earth and to do what we can to limit the effects of the climate crisis.

We perform most work remotely and electronically. Rebecca's business cards are made with 98% post-consumer recycled paper, and her notary stamps are 100% climate-neutral. Rebecca also uses digital business cards whenever possible. By using Stripe to process payments, Literary Faerie Consulting contributes 1.5% of our revenue to carbon removal and scaling technologies to combat climate change.

Rebecca funds tree planting efforts through her personal expense card, Treecard.orgShe also encourages climate solutions and supports economic equality by providing business loans, primarily to minorities in struggling regions, via Kiva.

Literary Faerie Consulting consistently seeks opportunities to work with businesses and organizations at the forefront of conservation and social justice, preferably with sustainability practices in place.

Philanthropy

Rebecca donates time and funding to support, promote, and encourage education and literacy, economic and social equity, and species and land conservation.
